White chocolate cravingAre you crazy about chocolate? Or do you need a lot of caffeine during your day? Do you prefer sugar or salt, or both? Or would you die to have some ice?

When you don’t have control over your urge to eat/drink certain food/beverages, the cravings have become addictive. And you know that they aren’t supporting your health. It can even happen that you walk to a cupboard to grab the food you desire so much, and you become conscious about not having the control to stop it. You can say to yourself ‘no, I don’t want to eat this’, but there’s also a voice in your mind telling you ‘it’s okay to eat it this time’. It’s a dialogue in your mind and of course you want to hear the permission to eat it. Your ego tells you you’ll feel better after you’ve eaten what you’re craving for. But after eating you notice it doesn’t make you feel better, or only for a very short time.

Sweets cravingIf you want to get rid of these cravings, it’s very interesting to find out first why you have the cravings. It’s a process of becoming conscious what you feel every time you want to eat something you don’t control. You can start a diary with the facts and your feelings. Why not start today and write down every time you feel the uncontrollable urge to eat something? Write down the date, time, what you crave for, what emotion you feel and where in your body, and what you ate and how much. Especially the part what emotion you feel and where in your body, will give you insights. Do you eat because you feel bored, because you’re stressed, or because you feel sad or alone, or do you feel an emptiness inside that you want to fill up with food? When you are in contact with your eating emotion, try to feel what the cause of this emotion is. Maybe you still suffer from losing someone you loved or another traumatic experience in your life. Release your emotions so you don’t need your craving(s) anymore. It doesn’t mean you can’t eat that specific food anymore, but you have the choice now to choose to eat it or to leave it. A chemical-free lifestyle will boost your energy, vitality, and self-esteem.

You can also ask Archangel Raphael to reduce or eliminate addictive cravings and help you adjust so that recovery is pleasant and harmonious.
