What I’ve recently discovered in watching an interview online, is that you can have a certain threshold for happiness. You can work on yourself to achieve more happiness, but you can reach a point where you can’t get past. That got me thinking…
This means you can have a threshold for many things in life that you want to achieve; for your health, for the maximum amount of money you have, for your physical fitness, or for your success.
You do the work, make progress till a certain point, and then… you feel like two steps backwards again.
You’re feeling frustrated, because you do everything you can, but still, you can’t get past that specific point, that level.
Somewhere during your life there has happened a situation where you’ve created this threshold subconsciously. It’s a form of self-sabotage. There are always emotions connected to a threshold.
